According to the pervious way and structural characteristics, pervious pavement bricks can be divided into two types: material pervious and structural pervious.
Material permeable brick is a kind of pavement brick with permeability from top to bottom. It can be made into upper color pavement brick. The prescription of permeable brick is strict. Graded aggregate, cement, special cementing agent and water are made by special technology. Because of the special gradation of aggregate, there are usually no or few aggregates with diameter less than 2.5mm. The aggregate skeleton contains a large number of voids, and these voids are connected. If there is rainwater, they penetrate into the underground along these "lines". The speed of seepage depends mainly on the gradation of aggregate and the mix ratio of permeable concrete.
Structural permeable brick refers to the design of convex grooves on the side of the brick body, so that enough mosaic space can be set aside in the overall arrangement of the brick body, so that when rainwater is reached, it can flow into the underground through the side voids of the brick body and achieve the permeability.
Generally, we can choose what kind of permeable bricks we need to produce, and we can choose suitable permeable bricks according to the conditions of climate, environment and municipal construction specifications. It can also produce grass-planting green permeable bricks and so on.
Pervious pavement bricks not only require aggregates, but also have higher requirements for moulding machines, so that the formed pervious bricks must have standard pervious properties and meet the strength requirements.
In short, with the State Council's requirements for the construction of urban ecological and environmental protection greening in China, i.e. sponge city construction, permeable pavement brick is a new building material project vigorously developed by the municipal construction department in the future.
