Standard and stable operation and maintenance can extend the service life of components of fully‑automatic brick‑making machines, reduce unplanned shutdown frequency and sustain continuous production. Maintenance work can be divided into three parts: daily per‑shift inspection, periodic maintenance and standardized fault handling.

Before starting each shift, operators shall carry out basic patrol inspection. Check whether connecting fasteners are loose and whether the lubrication condition of conveyor belts and chains meets requirements. Clean hardened residual materials inside moulds and silos to prevent hard lumps from causing mould jamming and uneven material distribution. After power‑on, perform no‑load trial run first. Check for leakage in hydraulic pipelines and abnormal noise from vibration mechanisms. Formal production can start only after all conditions are confirmed normal. Keep observing the forming condition of brick green bodies during production. Once chipping, delamination, cracking and other defects occur, check raw‑material moisture content, material feeding volume or forming parameters in a timely manner.

Phased maintenance shall be implemented according to service hours. Regularly inspect the oil level and cleanliness of hydraulic oil, and replace oil and filter elements as specified in the equipment manual. Apply suitable lubricating grease to bearings and hinge points on schedule. As high‑frequency wearing parts, moulds require regular wear inspection on working surfaces together with cleaning and anti‑corrosion protection. Keep the electric control cabinet dry and clean, remove accumulated dust periodically and inspect circuit insulation to prevent malfunctions caused by circuit aging.

Basic operating specifications shall be followed during equipment operation. When the equipment is running, personnel are prohibited from placing limbs into moving areas such as moulds, pressing heads and conveyor belts. Cut off the main power supply before any maintenance work. Non‑technical staff shall not arbitrarily modify core parameters including forming pressure, pressure‑holding time and vibration frequency. In case of abnormalities such as jamming, abnormal noise and alarm signals, shut down the equipment for troubleshooting. Do not keep operating with faults so as to avoid extra damage to components.

Raw‑material control also affects equipment performance. Large hard impurities shall be sifted out from production materials to prevent hard objects from scratching moulds and damaging material‑distributing mechanisms. Before long‑term shutdown, clear residual materials inside the whole set of equipment and protect metal components vulnerable to rust. Complete commissioning before restarting to ensure smooth resumption of production.
